Re: Revmaster R-2300

I wouldn't be too worried about the engine. If its sat that long, it clearly needs a complete teardown, inspection and rebuild. But for the price, it might be worth it. I'd definitely replace the crank. Just because you never know if a prop strike happened. But with all the other stuff you get, you ...

Re: New 3300 Weight

184 lbs + approximately 12 lbs for an engine mount (taildragger)= 196 lbs FWF without battery, or Propeller. What about the 200 lbs FWF limit? Does the TRI gear mount weigh more? Anyone know? Regards, Norm I weighed the tri gear engine mount for my Onex assuming the Aerovee engine and it weighed ju...

Or buy the Aerovoltz Li-Iron battery. Saves you about 12 lbs.

Re: FREE Offer for Tri-Gear Builders

Have you thought of sending sonex the excess so they can include it with their kits? No...that's not a bad idea. But this is also a way for me to meet and interact with other builders, so I have to weight the pros and cons. :) Yeah, but you will only meet us nose draggers. Not that there's anything...

Re: Edge rolling?

Its purely cosmetic. It looks nice and finished. The guy that did mine had built an rv8 that won best craftsmanship at airventure. He told me its all in the details.

Re: Edge rolling?

I bought my kit from someone who rolled edged every overlapping joint on the wings and aft fuselage. Looks real nice. I tried on the forward fuse with mixed results. If you can figure out how to do it nicely, It really makes a difference.
