I am one foolish enough to give him an initial deposit at AirVenture last year. I take solace in knowing I've only lost $1000 and not $13000. Expensive lesson, but a valuable one. I would probably buy a Viking if a reputable company bought the design and supported it. I think its a pretty neat engin...

My son and I will be at Sonex for the Monday night party.
We'll be driving in on Monday morning to Camp Scholler, and leaving Wednesday afternoon.

Cool motor. Never heard of it. I would think it has a standard VW case and therefore will mount to the standard VW mount. Looks like port fuel injection. I think the new Viking Onex nose looks pretty damn good. I will hold my final vote until we can see how it looks with the windshield and canopy. I think it helps tremendously improving the boxy look of the Sonex. To tell the truth, I don't like the Viking/Sonex cowl. It just doesn't look right. Too ...

Looks like Jan found the solution to the balance issue. By mounting the battery in the furthest aft section of the tail.

The problem is the Viking forum is controlled with an iron fist by Eggenfelner. He will not allow any post that questions his products or puts him in a bad light.
