Actually, the above video did not turn out. I did not have the "joint" adjustments tight enough and the camera bent down about 45 degrees after takeoff. I'll try again...:)

A beautiful evening last night. Not too hot or too cold. Just me, my plane, and wide open skies. A dream come true. Here's the landing...

AMAZING video Kip! I love it! Flights like that are why I'm building my plane. I'm very jealous you were up there.

So did you fly the Waiex after a flight bin the Kolb, or is it getting too cold?

Mike, the Kolb still gets a little exercise... :)

Usually a flight right at sunset. When it get's into the 50's it becomes a bit too chilly...

Great video Kip. You look like you make an excellent target ;)

I want to hear about building a Kolb someday... looks like it could be an interesting build!

Building the Firestar was a good warm-up for the Waiex. It was only about 30% of the build time... :D

The Waiex "Magic Carpet" once again took me on a magical trip. This time to Florida, 940 miles in two days. I visited Steen Aero Lab in Melbourne to see my Pitts wing kit coming together. After spending the night, I flew to Cedar Key (KCDK) for a lunch. I always wanted to land there and what a treat it is. Lot's of overwater time. The island itself is a wonderful place to spend some time. I look forward to going back.

What a way to end the year... :D

Get some work done in the shop today...there are big rewards... ;)
