My landings are getting better. That day was pretty convective and the surface wind was all over the place as evidence by my yaw on final. We land long on that runway because of a rise on that end of the runway that creates an unpredictable downdraft right over the numbers.

I always used to grease in my C150 and Diamond DA20s. But my first dozen in the Sonex left me a bit less than pleased. Just figuring out how to dance with her I guess. Its quite the sports car. Manageable, but definitely not a C150.

I'll use the tail mount to document my stall testing which is next up on the test plan. I can also use the wing mount but face the camera forward. Could show some interesting perspectives on landings. Not sure how much airplane it will pick up.

One thing I noticed when reviewing the wing cam footage, is how little control surface deflection occurs while maneuvering. Its also kinda cool to see how well the plane works at 130MPH.

BTW, the camera made zero difference on how the plane felt. Flew like it wasn't even out there. And I just used the double sided sticky tape on the GoPro mount shoes. Pretty sticky stuff.

Every pilot's dream! Living on an airpark would be amazing. Nice video Kip; I sure wish we had your weather up here. Hope the Waiex is running well for you!

Here's a video my son did for a college project in technical writing in one of his biotechnical engineering class.
Zack and I did the stunt flying.

Very cool video! How's the progress on your Waiex coming along? Hopefully she's just about all put back together and ready for some flying!
