Taildragger endorsement in a Sonex

Has anyone gotten their taildragger endorsement in their Sonex? I'm in the market for a Sonex/Waiex an I'd like to be open to both conventional as well as a tricycle gear but I don't currently have my endorsement. My understanding is that the Sonex is a very easy taildragger to fly and it would certainly save me a lot of time and money if I did it in a Sonex that I owned.

Any thoughts on getting an endorsement in the Sonex?

One of our co-owners, who just recently got his PPL, just got his tailwheel endorsement in our Sonex. It only took him maybe 3h until the CFI felt comfortable signing him off.

Finding a CFI who's willing to instruct in it is more than half the battle, I think. We're lucky in that the guy who built our Sonex is also a CFI...

Getting a tailwheel endorsement is becoming more and more difficult. My old flying club had a Citrabria they would do it in but recently took it off the line because of increasing insurance. No matter what plane you get it in, the Sonex is the easiest and most forgiving taildragger I’ve flown.
